Just wanted to say what a great venue and fantastic music This is the second time that we've attended an event and both times we were not disappointed. In fact we also have tickets for another event in June.

Having lived in Birmingham all our lives we have only recently discovered Road House and now plan to be regular visitors. Birmingham's hidden gem.

Good Afternoon Zoe,

It was a brilliant night, just my sort of venue and two great bands.

My wife and I were almost the first to arrive and interacted with staff and others alike; all incredibly polite and friendly and a pool table to boot. (The only mishap was the lady behind the bar who, while immensely warm and bubbly, doesn’t know that a (bread) roll is pronounced “roll” not “cob”!)

A great night all round, great venue – pity you are so far away from us but definitely worth the effort (is there a recommended reasonable hotel nearby for the future?)

THE SMITHS LTD plus special guests POLLEN

Hello Zoe, thank you for sending the Smiths Ltd gig photos and song list. I live in Stafford and while I have heard of the Roadhouse, I have never previously been there.

I was immediately impressed by the general friendliness of staff and patrons. I liked the layout and the sensibly priced drinks. The main room was well set out with good sound and lighting rig.

Listened to Pollen and while I am not a big fan of screamo vocals (I'm 48!!!), the lead singer / bassist had a good presence. I hope they develop their style and sound and have success in the future.

The Smiths Ltd were absolute quality with a fantastic vocal and instrumental sound and the lead singer was very close to Morrissey. And to knock out just under 30 tracks without a break takes some doing. Will definitely see them again.

As for the Roadhouse, I will come again before too long. You have a great little venue with lots going for it and you cater for all music as well as comedy. Keep going as I know it is hard for music venues to survive these days. Thank you for a fantastic evening.

I have seen U2UK at your place three times now and they were superb. Your venue is terrific, we do keep meaning to come and see other acts and I am sure we will. As for feedback I can only compliment you and say keep up the great work. The acts you get are great and love your support of local acts. Lol hope that helps or at least gives you a pat on the back.

LENE LOVICH BAND and guests VIX & HER MSCHIEFS

Hi Zoe

First time at the venue, to see Lene Lovich. Really liked the bar area and prices. Nice space to 'hang out' before the acts. Staff all friendly. Everywhere, including toilets clean. Main room, a lovely space with plenty of atmosphere , sound good, not claustrophobic. Lene Lovich was great. I will definitely come again.

Lizzie & the Banshees were brilliant I had my doubts that anyone could cover SATB but they pulled it off( I was transported back to ’82) wonderful the hear that much underrated music live again.

Thanks a million for a night I will never forget at The Roadhouse !
All the bands were fantastic, the sound impeccable and the atmosphere magical.
Dunno if you saw me singing with Rotunda but currently on Facebook somewhere if
you didn't - maximum fun for me.
Everyone, bands and mates, dead impressed with the place and the way you run things.
Your bar lady was fantastic (as always) and the security guy was a real diamond. About 50 friends and family came in the end, and combined with the punk regulars it made for a great atmosphere. Lizzie and the Banshees were amazing - totally authentic.
Hopefully bump into at the Scopyons in a coupla weeks.

NYE 2014/15

Thanks for a fabulous evening its our first visit, we will be back. Nice to find a safe alternative down to earth music venue ran by like minded people ! One the best NYE rockabilly do's I have had in 20 years, you must do more! The lady with blonde hair made our night behind the bar loved her! (natural blonde, wink wink)

You asked for feedback - so just thought I'd say how much we enjoyed the Trevor Burton gig last night. It was my fist visit to The Roadhouse - so here are my thoughts:

* Venue - good decor, pleasant atmosphere, good crowd
* Staff - friendly and helpful throughout. (Special thanks to the barman in the smaller bar who quickly worked out that our round consisted of 4 pints of Hobgoblin on a regular basis)
* Stage and sound - maybe the stage could be bigger but visibility was good and sound quality was excellent
* Music - brilliant
* Ale - well kept ale in a live music venue ... Very welcome

Only negative - a long way from where I live in the East Midlands!

ROXY MAGIC AT THE ROADHOUSE
December 2014

Came to the Roadhouse again last night to see 'Roxy Magic'. Yet again they delivered an immaculate set to a full house. I have to say that the Roadhouse remains one of our favourite music venues. Good bars, realistic prices and fast service from friendly bar staff. The sound is always good and the crowds are always good natured and pleasant. We had another great night at the Roadhouse! Thank-you.
