FRONTED by Dean Barton (son of the late great Alan Barton) this band have been playing to sell out crowds for the last 9 years in Europe and Asia and are now heading to the UK for a rare tour. performing the greatest hits of the original "Smokie" line up to great acclaim
Whether you first fell in love with Smokie in the 1970's, 80's, 90's - this show is for you. Having headlined alongside the recently departed Joe Cocker at the Sochi Winter Olympics opening ceremony last year, this lot certainly know how to put on a show.

2008 saw Dean Barton, reunite with Andy Whelan (Alan's song writing partner and guitarist on his solo work). In the years prior to his death (1993 to 1995) they were working on material for his second solo album, a follow up to the successful top 10 album Precious .
Due to his untimely death the album was never completed. Over a decade later Dean and Andy decided to finish the project together with Graham Kearns(Alan Silson Band) and Neil Ferguson (Smokies record producer)
“Room with a View” was born!
ABOUT THE ALBUM
The album featuring a catalogue of songs written and sung by the late Alan Barton, the original soundtrack recorded on 2 inch tapes, uncovered in Andy Whelan’s loft!
Musicians who were friends of Alan (including Alan Silson, original Smokie Guitarist) were brought forward to play on the album, his vocals and harmonies were kept and new instrumental arrangements added!Dean duets with his father on the track I O U and on ‘Storm Damage’.Alan duets with Teri Sullivan (Chris Norman's cousin).
The release date was September 2011 and the single Stay with me till Dawn followed reaching No.2 in the influential Radio Berlin ‘Hey Music’ charts.
