The Kate Gee Band play essentially blues-roots and their set consists of both original and carefully selected covers such as ‘ Need Your Love So Bad’ and “Rather Go Blind”. “Rupes Gig Guide” published;

“One of the covers ‘Need Your Love So Bad’ was outstanding for the vocals by their singer Kate, so much so, that one of the audience said ‘Someone’s in love!”. Kate has a great voice with a very pure sound which made me think of Joan Baez, but slightly lower pitched. She sings with real feeling, enjoys what she does, and keeps the band on its toes. Not that they needed it, as they were all excellent musicians in their own right. “
